Der aus Köln stammende Sharam Jey gehört seit Jahren zur Spitze der internationalen DJ- und Produzenten Szene. Seine Dance Musik hat eine Seele, sie bedient sich nicht an vorherrschenden Schemen. Statt einfältiger Musikhüllen entwickelt Sharam Jey neue Sounds jenseits klassischer Genre-Schubladen. Seine frischen, aufregenden Tracks treibt er immer weiter vorwärts, ohne dabei das Publikum aus den Augen zu verlieren.
2005 veröffentlichte Darren Emerson, Kopf des Kult-Dance-Labels Underwater Records, das erste Sharam Album „4 Da Loverz“. Es erhielt ausgezeichnete Kritiken und brachte ihn auf das Cover des berühmten britischen DJ-Mag.
Es folgten erfolgreiche Mix-Compilatons und DJ Gigs rund um den Globus, begleitet von einer stetig wachsenden Fangemeinde und ausgewachsenen Dancefloor-Exzessen. In dieser Zeit gründete er sein eigenes Label King Kong Records.
Sharam Jey's Remix des Cafe del Mar Dance Klassikers „Energy 52“ wurde zum besten Dance Track aller Zeit gekürt. Projekte für Topstars wie Moby, Faith No More, Faithless und Rosenstolz, verhalf er durch seinen unverkennbaren Sound-Stempel zu Dancefloor-Ruhm.
Mit seinem neusten Artist Album „In My Blood“ präsentiert sich Sharam Jay in absoluter Bestform. Die erste Single „Monday Morning“ ist ein Elektro-Clubtrack mit Hip-Hop Flavour – Vocals von der hiterprobten Princess Superstar. Eine Nummer rauer und rockig-elektronischer ist der Titeltrack „In My Blood“, eine von drei Kollaborationen mit dem australischen Sänger Nik Valentino von den Lost Valentinos. Weitere Features des Albums: DJ, Producer und Vocalist Tommie Sunshine, Andreas Hogby von der skandinavischen Rockband Torpedos und die schwedische Chanteuse Cornelia.
Mit „In My Blodd“ sorgt Sharam Jey für das erste Electro-Meisterwerk 2010.
“In My Blood”, released March 2, is Sharam Jey’s long-awaited second artist album and he’s really taken things to the next level. Not happy to settle for mediocrity, he’s worked hard and pushed things to unexpected heights, working with a host of amazing collaborators that really vary the sounds of the record and take you by surprise.
The first taste of the new album came courtesy of the Princess Superstar featured “Monday Morning” single but things got a little hotter and rougher when he teamed up with his first of three breath-taking collaborations with Australia’s Nik Valentino (of Lost Valentinos) for the album’s title track “In My Blood”.
Other froth-inducing collaborations on the record include Tommie Sunshine, Andreas Hogby (of Swede rockers Torpedo) and the fantastic Cornelia, who has the sickly sweet vocals of an angel set for mischief. However, it’s his ongoing collaborations with Nik Valentino that really steal our hearts back to the dance-floor, as they set temperatures soaring and pulses racing. “In My Blood” shows Sharam in his very best form yet, even the levels you’d come to expect from him until now have been thrown off the Richter-scale as he gets set to take us by the hand and lead us through 2010 with that ultimate ease only he’s capable of.
